In the fourth quarter of 2013, the Foundation committed more than $3.4 million to support the work of 67 nonprofit organizations across Oregon. 


All Hands Raised -- $200,000 over two years to implement the Cradle to Career initiative to improve school readiness, academic achievement, and equity for all students attending public schools in Multnomah County

Alpine Community Center -- $10,000 to purchase a facility to house community programs in rural BentonCounty

Arc of Lane County -- $7,000 to upgrade technology to expand services for adults with developmental disabilities and their familiesThe August Wilson Red Door Project -- $10,000 to support strategies to increase diversity in Portland area performing arts organizations and audiences

Bend Science Station -- $12,000 to upgrade technology to support K-12 laboratory-based science education for students and teachers in Central Oregon

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Umpqua Valley -- $40,000 to build out the Club’s second floor to expand programs for middle/high school teens

Building Healthy Families -- $15,000 to support after-school enrichment and education programs for middle/high school students in rural Wallowa County

Caldera -- $15,000 to provide year-long arts education and mentoring to low-income and at-risk middle and high school students

Capaces Leadership Institute -- $35,000 over two years to develop and strengthen leadership skills among Latinos in Marion and Polk counties

Catholic Community Services Foundation -- $25,000 to renovate and furnish a community home forLincoln County youth in long-term foster care through a challenge grant

Children First for Oregon -- $20,000 to increase stability and safety for children, youth, and young adults currently in or transitioning out of foster care

Coalition of Community Health Clinics -- $50,000 over three years to strengthen capacity of safety net clinics and improve the health outcomes for low-income, vulnerable individuals

Community Food for Creswell -- $6,000 to renovate new space for a food pantry serving low-income households in Lane County

Compassion Connect -- $12,500 to purchase digital x-ray and other technology to expand free dental care at mobile health clinics serving underinsured and uninsured individuals

Conduit Dance -- $10,000 over two years to establish a half-time program manager position to support program growth

Confluences -- $250,000 over three years to construct and install Maya Lin's "Celilo Arc" walkway and restore public lands at Celilo Park on the Columbia River

De La Salle North Catholic High School – $60,000 over three years to upgrade technology to improve instruction and enhance educational success for low-income high school students

Dress for Success -- $40,000 over two years to strengthen organizational capacity to help more low-income women enter the workforce and gain self-sufficiency

Eastern Oregon Regional Arts Council -- $10,000 to provide Artist-in-Residence programs in rural schools and support cultural enrichment in the community

Estacada Together -- $4,000 to provide a four-month music residency for rural K-12 students, teachers, and the communit

Exceed Enterprises -- $25,000 to hire a job developer to expand community-based employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities

Fishtrap -- $20,000 to support programs and operations to promote regional writing and literature inEastern Oregon

Four Rivers Community School -- $25,000 to construct a Family Education Center to serve Latino and other low-income families

Friendly House -- $35,000 to maintain programs to assist low-income seniors and LGBT older adults to remain healthy and independent in their own homes

Grants Pass Family YMCA -- $30,000 to remodel a facility to expand healthy lifestyle programs for youth, individuals with special needs, and families

Healing Reins Therapeutic Riding Center -- $20,000 to expand equine-assisted therapy programs for low-income children and youth with physical, cognitive, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges

Imago, The Theatre Mask Ensemble -- $30,000 over two years to produce “Imago Dance” and “La Belle et la Bete”

Jefferson County Library District -- $23,760 to purchase and install a new technology system to serve patrons and staff of the public library in Madras

Jewish Family & Child Service -- $25,000 to hire staff to expand a supportive employment training program for adults with developmental disabilities

Kinship House -- $14,000 to provide onsite parenting programs at a mother-and-child residential treatment facility for residents with open child welfare cases

Lake Arts Council-- $2,000 to provide in-school music education for students and public concerts for rural residents in the Lakeview area

Literary Arts -- $24,000 to support Oregon Book Awards and Oregon Literary Fellowships, and Writers in the Schools Programs

Lower Columbia Hispanic Council -- $16,000 over two years to increase staffing to expand services for low-income, Spanish-speaking residents in Clatsop, Columbia, and Tillamook counties

Mental Health for Children -- $ 10,000 to purchase a small bus to transport low-income children/families receiving psychiatric services in Central Oregon

Mercy Corps -- $15,000 to provide global education, workshops, and service learning partnerships for school groups in the Mercy Corps Action Center 

Metropolitan Family Service -- $30,000 to complete a pilot project to provide skilled peer intervention to improve the health, safety, and independence of older adults experiencing physical and/or mental decline 

National Indian Child Welfare Association -- $20,000 to implement a collaborative, in-home service model to reduce the number of American Indian/Native Alaskan children in foster care in Multnomah County

Neighborhood House -- $40,000 to construct an early childhood education center serving low-income families in Southwest Portland

NeighborImpact -- $25,000 to purchase a refrigerated truck and forklift for an emergency food bank network serving low-income Central Oregonians 

Nonprofit Association of Oregon -- $75,000 over three years to support programs and services to strengthen nonprofit organizations across the state 

Northwest Business Committee for the Arts -- $7,500 to prepare a diverse group of young professionals to support and provide leadership in arts and culture in the Portland metropolitan area 

Oregon Ballet Theatre -- $80,000 to support programs and operations 

Oregon CASA Network -- $20,000 to support programming to insure quality standards and sustainability for CASA programs across Oregon 

Oregon Coast Community Action -- $15,000 to expand Court Appointed Special Advocate services forCoos County children involved in the child welfare system due to abuse and neglect

Oregon Coast Council for the Arts -- $35,000 to upgrade the acoustic equipment in the main theater of the Newport Performing Arts Center

Oregon Community Foundation Community 101 -- $15,000 to support a school-based learning program for high school students 

Oregon Community Foundation Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative -- $315,000 over three years to expand the number of parenting education hubs serving Oregon communities 

Oregon Food Bank -- $260,000 to acquire food for distribution to families in need throughout the state 

Oregon State Hospital Museum of Mental Health -- $20,000 to collect and digitally archive oral histories of people connected to Oregon State Hospital 

Oregon Symphony Association -- $100,000 to support programs and operations

Pacific Northwest College of Art -- $350,000 over three years to renovate a historic building to serve as the college’s new campus for programs and administration 

Portland Art Museum -- $100,000 to support exhibitions and programs 

Portland Center Stage -- $90,000 to support programs and operations

Portland Opera Association -- $90,000 to support programs and operations

Profile Theatre Project -- $12,500 to produce a season of Sam Shepard plays and related outreach and education programs

REACH Community Development -- $15,000 to renovate a communal laundry space in an apartment building for low-income, formerly homeless women 

Rose Haven C.I.C -- $ 35,000 over two years to hire a community outreach coordinator for a day-program serving abused and homeless women and their children

Rural Development Initiatives -- $60,000 over two years to expand financial literacy and microenterprise development training for low-income Latinos in four rural regions in Oregon 

St. Andrew Legal Clinic -- $25,000 to provide access to legal services for low-income working clients 

St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County -- $ 30,000 to equip newly expanded kitchen and dining room areas in a community service center for low-income individuals and families in Eugene 

Salem Public Library Foundation -- $40,000 to renovate and refurbish the children’s library 

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation -- $100,000 over three years to develop breast cancer education and outreach materials for Latinas, and support a program manager position to promote screening and early detection for Latinas in three urban areas

United Community Action Network -- $75,000 to purchase and install refrigeration/freezer equipment for the new Josephine County Food Bank 

United Methodist ChurchOregon-Idaho Annual Conference -- $310,000 over two years to strengthen and revitalize ministries throughout Oregon 

Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon -- $7,500 to support education and outreach programming 

YWCA of Greater Portland -- $75,000 to support programs and operations serving low-income women, children, and families

Friends of Zenger Farm -- $100,000 to construct a building to expand healthy food/cooking education programs for children and low-income families
