About Us
The Collins Foundation centers the communities who have faced the brunt of systemic injustice in our funding to address the root causes of inequity for sustainable change. Through grantmaking and community partnerships, we are working to build a just and equitable future for Oregon’s lands and people.
The Foundation has been on an intentional path to deepen our culture of learning, action, and accountability for sustainable change over a decade. We believe philanthropy can help address our society’s biggest challenges by providing resources and support to the organizations closest to the problems and the solutions. Listening to and learning from our community partners holds us accountable to realizing our commitment to a just and equitable Oregon for all of us. When everyone can fully participate in the systems that shape their lives, we all benefit.
Our Values
We’re here today because the founders of The Collins Foundation took the long view in planning for sustainable grantmaking to those doing good work in Oregon’s communities. Their forethought has provided the resources and opportunities to honor the history of the foundation while refocusing our organizational priorities to address the root causes of inequity.
