Cynthia Addams Announces Upcoming Retirement

With much appreciation for her many years of service, I share the news that Cynthia Addams will be retiring as the chief executive officer of The Collins Foundation. As of July 1, 2020, we have chosen Wahl and Associates, LLC to help us in the search for the Foundation's next chief executive.

Responding to COVID-19 In Oregon

With several thousand COVID-19 cases confirmed in Oregon and many people continuing to shelter in place, this continues to be a very challenging time for our nonprofit partners and the people and communities they serve. We recognize this has created hardships for many Oregonians, and we are continuing to respond to this difficult and evolving situation.

December 2019 Grants

For the last meeting of 2019, the Foundation approved 39 awards through our Responsive Grantmaking program, totalling approximately $1.47 provided to nonprofit organizations across Oregon.




August & October 2019 Grants

In August and October, the Foundation approved 74 awards through our Responsive Grantmaking program, totalling approximately $2.9 million invested in more than 20 communities across Oregon.




April & June 2019 Grants

In April and June, the Foundation's approved 66 grants and more than $3.1m through our Responsive Grantmaking program to support nearly 30 communities across the state.




Three New Trustees Join The Collins Foundation Board

We are thrilled to announce that at the Foundation’s February 2019 trustee meeting, three new trustees were appointed to our board. Jaime Arredondo, Serena Cruz, and Kimberlee Pierce Sheng will join four Collins family members for a total of seven trustees. All three bring extensive and impressive experience in leading community organizations in Oregon and we are grateful to have their insights, perspectives, and expertise to help guide our work and vision for a just and compassionate Oregon.

February 2019 Grants

At the Foundation's first trustee meeting of 2019, 24 single-year and 16 multi-year grants were approved, totalling over $1.56 million to support high-impact community work in urban and rural communities across Oregon.




December 2018 Grants

At the final 2018 meeting of The Collins Foundation trustees, 17 single-year and 18 multi-year grants were approved, totalling over $1.7 million to support high-impact community work in urban and rural communities across Oregon.




October 2018 Grants

This month, The Collins Foundation trustees approved 20 multi-year grants and 16 single-year grants, totalling nearly $2 million awarded across seven program areas.
